I have been working hard on my project, but it caused alot of grief :facepalm:. I need to junk the hull and get it out of drive way. Can anyone tell me where in Dallas I can take it?

Question..
I removed my gas tank today as a part of my restoration. To my surprise I found a piece of gray carpet, the same carpet that lined my boat. Is thie normal? There is also what looks like a water drain whole that drains into the middle of the hull. Is this normal/ Should this empty...

Made some prgress today. still lots of water in the soaked in the foam. As you can see I was able to remove my gas tank. Had to empty 12 gallons of gas first and burnt out 2 pumps doing. Anyways..
Question.. When I pulled up the tank, there was a piece of the gray carpeting...
I had to take a few weeks from this project. I have pics however the uploader is not working correctly.
I found a tone of wet soaked foam towards the transom.
Question.. I have also noticed that the deck was not tied into the hull. Is this normal?

anyways.. I have decided to pull off all the side padding and have run into a little glitch. I have a flush mounted remote engine/throttle controll from Merucry, MERCURY 4000 GEN II MOUNT ENGINE...
I am in the middle of my tear out and I need to remove the padding on the sides however, I can not remove the throttle/shifter with out breaking something. I have removed the some screws and the shifter is loose from the panel however I can't remove it. How do I remove the shifter?

OK. So I went to drill holes and found soaking wet wood. Opened more of the back deck, more wet wood. So I have to replace deck. How can I test transom?

Okay.. I am screwed I think.... Went to drill holes for dowls and my worst my nightmare...
The wood in the engine area is totally soaked and rotted.
How far should I demo the deck to fix. Yes I found rotting on the stringer next to fuel tank as well.

I had to remove stern drive to pull motor. How can I tell if I broke the gearshift cable in the process? Is it pretty easy to replace?
