    Throttle/Shifter removal

    I am in the middle of my tear out and I need to remove the padding on the sides however, I can not remove the throttle/shifter with out breaking something. I have removed the some screws and the shifter is loose from the panel however I can't remove it. How do I remove the shifter?

    Trying to pump watery oil from motor while oil is cold. Help

    I have a 4.3 mercruiser that has water in oil. Trying to pump out but is too thick. Hot can I warmup the oil to make it easier to pump with out starting the motor? Or is there something I can put in it to thin out?
