Question... Is the upper crankshaft bearing a slip-fit bearing or a pressed on bearing?? The bearing seized and i need to remove it for replacement. If it is a slip-fit, any advice on how to remove it without damaging the crank??
Just some good advice: When you buy a used boat/motor, make damn sure the seller hasn't put Marvel Mystery Oil or something like that in the cylinders to temporarily regain compression long enough for you to "test" it in the lake. That happened to me. Oh, it ran like a sewing machine there...

I had my evinrude 60 running on muffs and checked for a dead cylinder by pulling off 1 spark plug wire at a time to see if the engine changed tunes. It did on all 3, but the bottom one shocked the crap out of me. Found that the boot had a leak. Would this account for some power loss??
