    Price

A lot is going to depend on condition. All we see is the outside hull with a cover intact...maybe.. If seats are shot, floor is in need of replacement and engine in disrepair....that all effects the bottom line. Then there's location. Simple supply and demand. Gonna need a lot more...

    SeaNymph parts? Need Bow “nosepiece”

Got any Live Steamer groups in your area? These are the small trains you can ride on. The group near me has their own forge to cast train parts so I wager a group like that may be able to help you if you can provide a master to work with. Just a thought.

    1987 GM 305 x 2 rebuild questions.

I'd want the down low grunt of the 350 over the 305. The old saying is true...there's no replacement for displacement.

    Need better hole shot

You're probably in the 260HP range with the Merc 5.0 IF its MPI....it was less if it was carb'd. That's what was listed in my FourWinns brochure when I ordered that boat with the Volvo 5.0 MPI - had 270HP. My gut says you *might* be better served with a set of adjustable tabs on the transom to...

Bought my first boat to cut, gut and rebuild from bow to stern, including engine. Killed my back and suffered the wrath of the fiberglass demons

Well let me ask the question this way.... This boat is a learning experience for you. Does that entail just the boat or the boat & motor? Remember, tinkering with a motor out on the water to get it running is definitely not a fun experience out in the waves & sun on a hot summer day with...

    Trailer dog tracking

Check the tongue weight. You might be light and experiencing trailer sway.

    1995 Stratos FS 278 Slow?

Not what I'm referring to. Boats of that age are made out of wood - transom and stringers. Unless it's been a pampered boat, always dried out after use and stuffed into a climate controlled garage, changes are good to very good that its water logged. Foam, wood, etc. You could be carrying...

    1995 Stratos FS 278 Slow?

18' with 7'6" beam and 130HP? You might not be getting much more out of that boat. Given the age, I'd start with weighing it as you could be carrying around a lot more weight than you should.

Removal of Flex Seal coating from hull?

If'n I recall my HS science classes after all these years.... The not so smooth surface generates bubbles as the craft goes through the water so it has less drag. So you're in essence riding on a slight cushion of air.

    I don’t think this is a Starcraft

My wife is a DMV clerk for NY. She has told me in no uncertain terms that unless its documented, it is a royal hassle to register in NY. LOTS of hoops to jump through. You're assuming documented with transferable registration...which IS the title. The ad states no paperwork. Big difference.

    I don’t think this is a Starcraft

No title in NY? Run...don't walk...run from this. Major hassle getting it registered. Cool...sure. But not worth the hassle unless you are really into running into concrete walls head first....repeatedly.

Iemand ervaring met Teak Foam Decking mat

I have SeaDek on my swim pad since 2018. I've used an electric power washer (Harbor Freight special) on it with no ill effects so it's holding up very well for me. Haven't really noticed any staining...should there be, the manufacturer sells a cleaner specifically for SeaDek.

    2024 NFL/CFB News and Nonsense

Diggs gone. Good riddance. Now can someone please convince the Pegulas to up and move the Bills and their $40k psls elsewhere....like before the stadium is completed? I hear ethanol plants are on the rise. Bet we could get one built there instead :)

    Data on Vintage Boat

No disrespect but quickest way to get that info is have the owner walk out with a tape measure and report back to you. Take all of 2 minutes at most.

Looking at buying a 2006 Bayliner Cierra 2455 that has seen better days at auction with an eye to restore it. Not sure what to look for.

I don't think that's an '06 based on the text in the pic saying it's an '88. I'm a Bayliner guy but even I couldn't be convinced to take that on. I'm wagering everything, and I mean everything below deck is coming out - including whatever remnants are in the cuddy, and it's all gotta be...

Small and light boat for 5+ people?

My uncle's first boat would probably fit most of the bill. Was a 16', 4 bench, Starcraft tiller steer. Probably from 60's/70's with a 9.9Rude on the back. We beached that several times throughout the years in the Great White North on various adventures with the cousins. That's something that I...

    bimini top fitment

From factory, my Bayliner, FourWinns, and Chap tops never, ever covered the swim platform or sunpad. Main cockpit only and generally just the captain & first mate seats. Looks about right once you tension out the bows to stretch the canvas. I think you're looking at custom to do what you want.

    Bow and Cockpit Tonneau Covers

2nd talking to your local canvas shop. They'll install the snaps where needed when custom making your covers. If the canvas shop is good, you'll never know it was custom.

    Boat Engines

Anything currently not in production. So Evinrude/Johnson (OMC), and Force...among many, many others. You can't give me a free Force engine. Toyota and Yamaha had I/O's for a while - parts are non-existent. Beyond that.... B...reak O...ut A...nother T...housand There's a reason some have this...

    Marina Slip Safe?

It's all going to be your comfort level of what it looks like and the traffic during the year. Personally, I'd be really hesitant to do it having spent any number of summers up in the area. Wind whips up the white caps, idiot captains of cruisers/go-fast boats, and the water level depending on...
