    I've been reading that and #1 is the issue from heat. I've also read the bottom cylinder is an issue getting water in from the water jacket rusting out.     I have a 90 V6 4.3 so it seems like it may work. Any input on flange style (short bolt) vs a normal elbow long bolt? I would think the gasket would stop corrosion between the elbow and Cast iron manifold with the 2 different metals.

    It does have a power steering leak somewhere, I think the cooler, I top it off everythime I go out. It's been like that for years and never had an issue. Any details on how that would make it feel like something was going to explode.
