    Fender holders inside the console

Great thank you! I will give that a shot and see what I can build.

    Fender holders inside the console

I have a hard top, that as an e-box built into it. How would you go about stowing them near it? Can't say I've ever heard of that.

    Fender holders inside the console

There is the two up at the bow under the seats. That's all. Those end up used for life jackets and spare bags. There is also one in the deck on the bow however it will fit at most 2 fenders and I typically have 3-4 with me. I mainly use that one to put fishing gear on the runs out or I will...

    Fender holders inside the console

I have nothing for rails on the back. I have a few near the bow recessed but nothing else really.

    Fender holders inside the console

I have a Blackfin 212CC (now called 222CC) which is a 21ft center console. I don't have a single bench or anything where I can put fenders. They don't fit in the bow seating nicely and leaving them to bounce around the console last year I broke a seal on the head. I've been debating getting...

IBOATS site no longer has annoying garbage all over it !!!

Hard to grow a site like that since a lot of the value I've seen when searching both via google and on the site is from people who have few or no other posts and ask an odd question. You cut those people out and question wise feels like you lose maybe 25% of the value. I've always been a fan of...

    Replacement gauges for a 2003 Crownline 230BR

I will mention that to him before he buys any. Thanks would be nice if a cleaning solved them.

    Replacement gauges for a 2003 Crownline 230BR

Good to know, guess in that case makes it a lot easier to figure out what he'll need then. Prices sure seem to vary wow. I would have expected for same thing pretty close just up to materials difference but nope.

    Replacement gauges for a 2003 Crownline 230BR

My friend has a 2003 Crownline 230BR with a merc engine. He is wishing he could upgrade his gauges since most of his do not work anymore. I'm trying to figure out what he needs as his best idea so far was taking the old ones out and buying OEM ones if he could. I was thinking that aftermarket...

    What fuel to run?

Thanks, I guess I was mainly going off the old thought of outboards need premium. 87 it is then. Cheaper so bonus excuse to go out more.

    What fuel to run?

87 is not premium sorry for the confusion. Here the only ethanol-free is premium which conflicts with 87 which is up to 10%. Interesting I could have sworn that the manual said ethanol-free when I read it before. Checking the Mercury site (not manual) it says E10 (so 87 here) is fine.

    What fuel to run?

Makes sense thank you. I was leaning that way from my previous experience but when I read 87 I figured it was right. I did not know 87 ethanol free existed as I've never seen or even heard of it.

    What fuel to run?

87 here contains up to 10%. Only ethanol-free is 91/premium

    What fuel to run?

There are a few stations around town known for watery tanks. I avoid them and go to ones I know are a bit better. Typically you don't get much mixup in terms of grades from what I've herd but then again I can't tell much difference most of the time.

    What fuel to run?

I have a 2019 Mercurty 225XL. Been giving it marina fuel this whole year and last year I ran 87 (regular) gas in it as that is what the manual said. For next year I'm planning on not buying much fuel at the marina and most at a gas station on the sie of the road (way cheaper and less wait). I've...

    Planning out installing NMEA 2k

Based on just installing the backbone, is the layout I had in my original post good other than removing the link/engine guages from it?

    Planning out installing NMEA 2k

Fair enough give the MFD with a backbone a shot and see if that works well enough I don't care about the little bit of data from the engine.

    Planning out installing NMEA 2k

That's what I suspected for getting the data there. I'm not sure how useful the data would be exactly as I have made it 2 years without issue. I think it is mostly the tinkering aspect and the idea of it all working together that initially set me down the path of wanting it.

    Planning out installing NMEA 2k

I'm not 100% sure but I'd bet on no fuel flow meter as i don't think my boat comes with one stock and I know I have not added one
