Too much wind and rain in my face

A DC is something I might consider for my next boat. I found when I looked that few of them actually had made their way to the Canadian used market but I am seeing more now.

Too much wind and rain in my face

Finally got a design nailed down with a local shop. In the fall I am going to be taking it in. He is going to work with my existing front cover adding a zipper, making wings that can either attach to the front cover or smaller panels to go directly to the deck, wings will go 6 inches before the...

Too much wind and rain in my face

That would be perfect! I think that is even the same style in general as I have for piping and windshield. Guessing that is more than likely a custom job?

Too much wind and rain in my face

I've been doing the mask and goggles, was hoping for something more permanent.

Too much wind and rain in my face

I do have a hard top and no pictures of it that show the windshield well. It has a windshield and a metal frame for the hard top.

Too much wind and rain in my face

I have a smaller CC (21ft - Blackfin 212CC) which has a tiny windshield. I think If I made it a bit bigger I could go out on more rain or windy days. I'm not sure what I could do to make it a bit bigger to deflect more wind/rain out of my face. Does anyone have any ideas?

Upgrading the whole electronics package minus chart plotters

Thanks on the reed switch type sender, I will look that up a bit more but a cursory look says that is it. Currently for fuel tracking all I get is the GPH to 1 decimal place. I unless I am actively looking at it I can't tell. I'd love some way to get that data into a more usable format for...

Upgrading the whole electronics package minus chart plotters

I have a 21.5ft center console that I am trying to outfit in a way to allow to be cruise longer distances with less work so I can make fishing a single day trip not a 2. Currently some trips are so long that I am tired by the time I get to fish. I boat/fish in the St Lawerence River and in...

Lenco trim tabs flashing on right side

Went down to the marina today and checked voltage. Ended up being voltage and the cause of it was a low battery. Low battery was caused due to how the new charging system I have in is configured/made. I have to remember to configure a setting on it each time I put the boat away OR let the engine...

Lenco trim tabs flashing on right side

Interesting, I am guessing it will be low voltage on from the break panel out rather than the battery if everything else is working right?

Lenco trim tabs flashing on right side

I have a CC with Lenco trim tabs and have recently had them stop working nad start flashing on the right side of the control unit. It is the bottom lights. I have not a clue what it would mean. Issue happened after sitting for 3 days at the marina. No physical damage that I can see from an...

    Clunking and prop slipping

Got the boat back from the mechanic 3 days ago. Went out yesterday and no issues. Problem ended up being two things. Cyclinder 3 had a misfire in it so they replaced all spark plugs and the other part that made it noticeable as a clunk was the hub kit was a cheap plastic one and not a nicer...

    Clunking and prop slipping

Boat is pulled and likely going to the mechanic on Wednesday just have to call tomorrow to confirm if he has time/room. Did some basic checks and very much seems like metal in the gear oil.

    Clunking and prop slipping

I really don't have any more info than that sadly, granted I suspected a lower unit/gear issue or hub issue so I had maybe 4-5 minutes of run time away from the marina.

    Clunking and prop slipping

I'm 99% sure not a misfire, it is for sure something to do with the lower unit or prop. Got help coming in a couple hours to pull it and inspect it maybe Monday.

    Clunking and prop slipping

Hmm if I find metal what would that mean?

Yes nothing on the prop, spins clear and free as well.
