    Gear oil drain screw

Is the gear oil drain screw on an f90 easy to strip? I have it tightened a lot but can still get it a little more but I'm afraid to strip it.

Wondering why my boat drain plug is at the bottom not on the transom?

Ok, I see what you mean. I was thinking of a regular scupper with a flap or ball sealing mechanism.

Can guage for trim be calibrated?

Thanks for the reply. The problem is that before the motor is even halfway up thru the manual trim range, the gauge is reading full up. On the gauge the difference between full down and full up is only inches on the motor. the sender arm seems to have full range of motion. Could the sender just...

Your attachment stopped working, but the black line in the bigger chart was equal or a bit higher then the historical highs that usually arrive in late summer?

Can guage for trim be calibrated?

Hi, I have a Yamaha f90 2016. The gauge up in the dash is a 6Y5T multifunction. The problem is the trim indicator on the gauge goes from full down to full up before the motor is even half way up. I have had it a couple of years and until now it always read full up regardless of motor position...

Dry cold I can handle within reason, but wet, cold sloppy snow and slush is the worst. I'll take the heat over that any day!

I see that there is record ocean temps off the coast of Florida as well. I wonder how that will affect the marine life down there? The weather really seems to be getting messed up, but I sometimes wonder is some of it just the media paying more attention and reporting it more?

Seeking advice on seemingly large hull/structural repair! Help please! 1979 Marquis Catalina.

Yeah, my vote would be for the sake of the $1800 spent on the boat, salvage what may be useful or resalable and ditch the boat. You're looking at thousands in repairs and a LOT of work and time. Its a safe bet the transom is rotten as well as most everything else, not to mention that big hole in...
