Carburetor question on restoration I’m working on 1992 40 hp MSHQ Yamaha

This is a live proof that CRC marine decarbonizer does its homework very well. First pic corresponds to a 2 stroke crankcase which has never been decarboned ever before. Second pic corresponds to a second motor which has been religiously decarboned with CRC decarbonizer at each 50 run hours...

    08' Honda 150hp 4-stroke Heat Alarm

Can use a large water bucket with product dumped in there, use as directed by the manufacturer. The peeing water must be discharged inside the bucket to avoid product loss outside the bucket. There are other methods, check at YouTube ...

    Cylinder Compression Incongruences.-

The motor has finally been electrical dressed up, the ignition coil and the CDI which rested close to the crankcase now rests 4 mm away, will receive less heat from the motor and should last longer working flawlessly. All crankcase's grounds, ignition coil, CDI grounds, all electrical bullet...

    Trailering a sib aft forward

If you plan towing the combo with installed motor, what type of support will the tubes be resting on ? as a 4 stroke motor is bit heavy will need to inflate both side tubes to their full air pressure factory stated or the transom will be bouncing which is bad for the adjacent glued parts. Happy...

Carburetor question on restoration I’m working on 1992 40 hp MSHQ Yamaha

Running a can of Seafoam in a motor which has collected huge carbon buildups through the years which has never been properly decarboned won't even tickle the motor.... Happy Boating

    Used 40hp two stroke value?

When buying a Tohatsu motor the year of manufacture its irrelevant, model is all. Tohatsu stopped production of the M40C some years back. It's not a big deal to put into operation a 2 stroke motor which hasn't been working for some years, clean carb and fuel filters, with motor facing horizontal...

Carburetor question on restoration I’m working on 1992 40 hp MSHQ Yamaha

Was just asking how can clean carbs run at wot with lean conditions. Those 3 carbs have been well cleaned to perfection and right after that the yammie should have gone straight through a long CRC decarbon process. Sorry I only perform a one time full carb clean out and if run the carb's bowl...

Need to perform the CRC decarbon procedure, I'm sure that motor has tons of carbon builups on the piston rings, exhaust and combustion chambers, will idle much better after a long wot run an if stealing the combo for say 10-15 minutes. Can re adjust idle screws if in need. FB, explain how can a...

    Converted my 1999 2 stroke 9.9 to a 15hp

Sorry, was referring having the same leaf metal plate part number for both 9.9 & 15 HP with different reed valve assys and heights adjustments. Are you interested in speed with less hole shot, or better hole shot with less top end speed ? at which rpm is the motor revving at full throttle with a...

Mercury 20hp only getting 21mph normal?

Nope an hydrofoil won't cure the patient, before investing on one, order an induction tach, would recommend the Hardline hour/tach model HR-8061-2, cost bit more than any other but way to go for, check Iboats, Amazon for them. Once installed got for a wot run as previously described and report...

    Used 40hp two stroke value?

Is that a Tohatsu M40C motor ? If so, it's a bullet proof motor, correctly propped will have extreme water fun at speed. Fan 650 bucks in 50 bills on his face, see what happens. Nothing to lose, a nice motor to win.. Happy Boating
