I always advance the throttle to full in about 1 second and then once I know it's about to plane I start backing it off to my cruise setting.
I don't like the bow up any longer than necessary.
I've installed a few that are similar in boats and cars.
They seem to work just fine.
I've never installed the ones with the power switch though.
I've installed mine on a circuit that's off when the key is off.
Probably but I've never used one.
I usually lay the drive on it's side and use a hammer and sockets to drive them out.
If it's something I can get in a vise then I use the vise and sockets to press them out.
As long as the muffs fit properly and you get good water flow you can run it as long as you like.
You should not let it go higher than approximately 1500 rpm and then only for a bit.
DO NOT rev it high while in neutral. Only when in the water in gear.
