1982 Johnson 50 Sea Horse - Constant Beep While Accelerating

you can probably test the sensing device by measuring it's conductivity (ON or OFF ........ 0 ohms or infinity) for a "switch" version or... measure the gradual change in resistance value while you warm (heat) it up. for a resistance version . if ok then I would suspect the buzzer...

1982 Johnson 50 Sea Horse - Constant Beep While Accelerating

strange isn't.. you indicate the sound level of the alarm isn't as loud as it was before. the heat sensor being a variable resistance & in theory proportional to the heat level being sensed..... seems to me the alarm itself should simply "kick in" and produce a constant sound level when a...

    Point setting vs timing

the gap itself is not all that critical... was is critical is to OPEN at TDC. test with condenser disconnected !!! I believe Gale is cousins of E/J outboards so the timing tool would help you work on the " gap" (look at it as a skinny flywheel to duplicate the FW's marks ......allowing...

3 line fuel pump PLUS pulse port on the back

in any event... if you have no pulse port on the engine facing the pulse port on the pump itself, the pump is unaffected.. a dab of JB weld would close it off Even more so if you mount the gasket since it would have sealed thing up against the engine mounting surface. . try a new...
