    They use those on lakes here in Minnesota with invasive weeds, milfoil. Fortunate that we do not have any invasive species on the lake (YET). The other side of the issue is clearing an area for the landing zone so fisherman can bounce lures off my pontoon, or anchor 2' off my dock and pull fish...

    I have a set up that I use on the bottom, an 80 gpm pump to flush out the silt from around the dock, I may try jetting the roots out from under the weeds.

    Decided this year not to have the weeds chemically treated by a contractor and I am going to DIY without chemicals. I have a shed full of weed cutters, bottom rollers, rakes etc. Looks like the best solution is a V blade cutter I just have to modify the handle. What do you do to keep the weeds...

    Nobody fishing?

    I have the rods respooled and rigged the grandsons are coming to the lake for a sleep over. There will be chaos on the dock untangling, rebaiting, taking fish off, can't wait.

    Dock question: how do these sections hook together?

    My dock is in 16' of water, auger posts are a must the end and mid section and a cross bar at the end. I also installed plates on the outer dock section connections for stability. The joys of having a dock on stilts.

    Pet surgery cost😮

    I guess I have been lucky with dog injuries over the years. Currently we have 3 dogs the oldest is 15 the youngest is 12 they are all on the DNR list. I love dogs but the dogs have had a good run and quality of life.

    Scott, old numbers $200 no boat lifts. I watch the dock go in and out every year, funny I pay to have my dock put in then I help my neighbor put his dock and lift in.

    I don't think my pontoon ever sees full throttle, unless the kids are driving it.
