the cam could be toast.
do a leak-down test. that will tell you if the issue is valves, rings, head gasket, or washed out cam.
with the valve cover off, do all the rockers move the same amount (use a ruler or dial indicator)
based on those pictures, the inflatable was stored outside in the sunlight and degraded by UV. the base material of the skin has deteriorated. the bladder may be OK. most reputable inflatable companies offer new skins and bladders.
I would get a new inflatable.

go thru the TB ignition troubleshooting tree in the stickies at the top of the sub-forum.
if you have the older 2-wire ignition trigger, that design was replaced nearly 20 years ago with the updated 3-wire design.
check that.
Spend the $18 on the right fitting. Or get the upgraded plastic one. That fitting is a replace ever 2 year deal
A thru - hull fitting for a live well does not work well for a motor supply
When it dies, verify you have spark.
Does your ignition trigger have 2 wires, or 3 wires? If 2 wires, it may be a bad trigger.

A few of the common reasons
Bad fuel
Bad fuel pump
Plugged fuel vent
Carb really out of adjustment
Dirt in carb (bypassing the filter probably didn't help)
Plugged AS valve
Fuel pickup tube has hole in it
I would simply cut the cable off a bit outside the tilt tube, then use a brass drift and a 5# fist maul and point the remaining bits out. Then clean up the inside of the tilt tube with a wheel cylinder hone.....Then get a new cable and helm

As indicated above, GM RH rotation motors spin the cam, distributor and oil pump the same as the LH rotation motors. Only the crank spins backwards. Make sure your crank has the correct knurling for RH vs LH cranks.
