    !978 14' Seafarer restoration

Is that the good stuff, or the "new and improved" subpar non-methylene stuff? I picked up some of both the Jasco and the Citrus stuff to see which one provides better results. Wish I would have hoarded some of the old formula away before they went all safe and green on us.

    Starcraft Holiday 18 make over

Nice work! Looking forward to the pictures of the completed windshield after the sneak peek of the cardboard mock up.

Post a pic of your starcraft!

Beautiful Mariner! I think you just helped me decide the paint color for my rebuild. That white looks so clean.

    New Journey

This arrived last week as well:) My toy budget is usually a conflicted balance between boats and things that go boom. I keep on thinking what a nice 115hp this could have funded... Custom M700 LH 7RM barreled and assembled by LongRifles Inc. out of SD.

    New Journey

The MR180 is still a lady in waiting, but getting some more work done around the house for the admiral before I jump back into the obsession...she knows if I don't get things done before I start on the boat, they won't get done until after the boat :) Deck stairs completed, and plumber will be...

    1972 Starcraft Nova

Here's another 18' Nova. You can see it does not have the additional rivets for the braces you have on yours.

    1972 Starcraft Nova

Sorry, been unplugged for the past few days and just seeing this now. Yes, the Novas were smooth sided and only available in 1972 and 1973 as best as I can tell, with 15’, 16’, and the 18’ I/O options. Every one I’ve seen is factory black/red stripe in the 15’, yellow/black stripe in the 16’...

    New Journey

Was going to make a post in the general restorations forum, but I trust the advice here more... Air hammer/rivet setter - what's a good, reasonably priced option for setting solids? Don't think my standard pneumatic air hammer is up to the task, time to make an investment.

    New Journey

Yeah, probably not the best idea. Just pondering different color options and kind of like this theme... Probably end up with the storm grey again on the deck, but the gunnels still have me thinking. Maybe a set of 72" black Traxstech Tracks to give some contrast...just need to save more...

Not sure if this is the correct way to link to another thread, of if there is a better way to do so, but just posted this in the general restorations forum: Black Nautolex https://forums.iboats.com/threads/black-nautolex.743753/#post-5653600

    Black Nautolex

Anyone have any direct experience with black Nautolex vinyl flooring and how hot it gets in the sun? I've used the storm grey color on two of my other rebuilds, but considering the black color on my current rebuild on the gunnels and/or deck. I'm sure it'll get warm, but with the texture and...

    New Journey

I need to get an updated picture. Still not yet completed, but coming along. Between the 3 year patio project I'm trying to finish up, deck stairs I'm building, the honey do list, and the kids activities... I'll get it wrapped up one of these days :) Built it to the same height as my table...

    New Journey

Just some interesting notes from the tear down... Both the bow deck vertical supports(not just the horizontal lip/edge like on the SS models) and the lower side supports are solid riveted to/thru the hull. I drilled out the bow supports in order to get the front deck section out, but left the...

    New Journey

I’ve looked at some of the folding towers, but will likely just stick with the stock console configuration, modifying the dash layout and controls to my liking. I don’t want to run into issues with garage storage and the open concept will probably be more suitable for fishing. Will probably...

Current plan is to sell the ‘82 70hp Merc and find a late ‘80s or newer 115hp. I’ve got some time to sort it out and see what pops up for sale.

    New Journey

Wet deck and waterlogged foam. I often wonder how many boats are on the water in this condition on a regular basis. I can’t even look at an aluminum boat of this era as water ready anymore without a full rebuild.
