    Got Ripped Off

This must be the one my engineers use at work. Explains why they always claim they're under budget.

Alpha outdrive stud came off with nut. Never saw this before???

That's what happened to me on a used drive I bought. I did the same thing but also cleaned the nut side threads with a chaser and used a new nut.

I did some home made Salisbury steaks the other night. I too prefer mixing more. With the salt you get that protein extraction and it's more like a sausage. Stays together better too.

I actually have an air fryer. I don't use it often but it took the place of my counter top toaster oven. Reheat nuggets, french fries, wings etc. It is perfect. I've cooked a couple things in it but it is kind of a niche appliance. My convection oven still gets the most use and if not that I...

Fix here, or go all in...

I gutted mine started to finish in ~6 months. I also re-rigged it as far as controls, wiring, fuel tank and plumbing. At any rate, I still have to upholster the cabin and pull the bow rail and replace the stanchions and reseal the windshield. I also have a leak around the transom that needs...

More than 1 way to pick the best prop for a set of conditions.

I sent Ken my numbers a while back. He flat out told me not to bother changing the prop as I probably wouldn't gain anything. I told him I was willing to pay, and he said don't. I'll gladly reccomend him on that principal alone. I do get a little chine walk at speed but after seeing how little...

Conversion from I/O to outboard on Islander.

My 84 was thinner in the transom for most of the width and was thicker around the keyhole. They used a 1-1/8 inch full width sheet with a 3/8 sheet around the drive. When I rebuilt it I did full width of 2 laminated 3/4 sheets....

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

Even more so I am pretty sure ABYC is pretty specific what is required of a boarding ladder... I know my 84 doesn't meet those regulations.

I'm lucky in that I have 2 Asian markets within a half hour of the house. Enoki is so tasty lol. The one even has fresh pork buns.

Fish cake. It's basically rice cake but has a bit of white fish and food coloring for the pink effect. It's for show more than anything. The correct name is kamaboko.

How much Prop should i try?

Like everyone else said... what was it running and what is it running. Once you have that data go from there. Otherwise it's just a WAG.

Same thing with the kitchenaids... my old (92 model? professional) is still a hobart unit just restamped as kitchenaid. has the same 300w motor as the newer units supposedly and it isn't even close. Mine kills them lol. Yea the market place is hit or miss. The one you linked is in the ballpark...

You had the waring pro serrated slicer (or similar) too? It works... But I have been eyeing the ones websturant store has. Seems the ~$300 units are all about the same. My local deli went out of business and sold their pro grade one for like $200... They do pop up on FB marketplace and such too.

Wells are drying up in Hunterdon, N J today.

Our quarter mile deep wells fell off in production towards the end of last year. We shut them all down and switched to surface Monday to conserve for now.

I don't think I've ever pulled a battery from my own boats tbh. Disconnect it? Sure.

    Bellows replacement

Mine lasted ~17 years in salt. Or if dad is remembering wrong they were ~30 years old. Shift boot was replaced once or twice as the old cables didn't last that long.
