    Shift cavity water...

Not really, how many actual rubber parts are on boats in the past twenty years ?? Damn few as real rubber is no longer used and hasn't been in ages !! To costly and synthetic rubber lasts longer !! No matter how you choose to look at it, even synthetic rubber mfgrs recomend a silicone base...

    Mariner 2 hp .

Does your motor have a telltale hose comming out the back ? My merc does, while there are some similarities there are also some differences. They way your power head sits on the lower is different from mine. What year is your Mariner ??

    Sea/Lake Food

If you live near good fishing areas then getting your own gear doesn't have to be that expensive. I live near Lake Erie in Ohio, numerous places to fish and plenty of catchable fish, blue gill, crappie, perch and walleye. A simple 16' aluminum boat and motor can fill your freezer each season...

    Shift cavity water...

Newer rubber products are not actually rubber but neoprene and other synthetic materials. Your probably right that todays rubber like materials will stand up to petroleum products. However, real rubber will get eaten up by petroleum products. I don't take the chance, we never know for sure...

DOW 111. Valve lube is a good heavy duty silicone grease that works very well....great for plastic, rubber neoprene and such. No petroleum products on rubber or plastics !!

    Mariner 2 hp .

Yes, pics please....I have what might be a cousin to yours. Mine is a Mercury 2.2 hp (1985) and no leaks in that area I think from your description... Good pics will let me take a closer look if they are the same motor....

    Can’t Figure out Prop ….

My neighbor has a 21' Sylvan aluminum hull with a 140 hp 3.0 and turns a 21" pitch prop at about 42 mph at 4400 plus rpm. Not sure a 3.0 could handle a 23" pitch.

    Nobody fishing?

If you do some serious study and research you will find the earth has undergone major climate change about 8 times in the past 300K years it is estimated. One if those times is what killed off the dinosaurs. Studies estimate it takes a good thousand years to go thru a cycle. While burning...

Looking at all the debate over the gray fuel lines causing issues on outboard motors, I need to know what the best replacement hose that gives reliable service. Bought a used boat/ motor last season and found the gray house issues after winter layup inspection. Looking for best marine rated...

    Excessive smoking

At our house, I follow her rules inside the house, but when in my garage or barn, my rules are followed. This way we each have our own space. I have always worked some type of side job so I have my own spending money for toys that I want or need. She used to do the same before health issues...

    Excessive smoking

Can't say for sure as I don't use it, only Pennzoil TCW3 for over 50 years. Most all mfgrs now offer synthetic oils but which is better ??? From those that I know, who have tried synthetic 2 stroke oil, claim hardly any difference, so.....who knows for sure. Last year bought acysed outfit...

    Boat listing to left

Hooked or warped hull near the stern could cause that. Pics of the underside of the hull might help..

    Excessive smoking

Not sure what your location is, but Pennzoil TCW3 is considered a premium two cycle oil in my area unless you move to full synthetic. I have worked at various marina's here on the great lakes and most all highly recomend Pennzoil tcw3 or moving to synthetic.
