    Marine Tex on Alodine?

No you rinse with water in between any residual water is no different than the water you are diluting the Alodine with. Prob biggest key if spraying is to keep it wet for process time. Then don’t let it dry before rinsing

Merc 4.3 TKS dying at idle

Try adjusting it before tearing it apart but rebuild is likely . you dont need the manual to do a tune up. Tune mix screw out half a turn see what it does. If you keep track of changes you make you can always set it back to where u started …

    Battery powered pressure washer

unless it works better than the royobi one i got a few years back keep going to the car wash. I was pretty disappointed. It is more of a wetting machine than a pressure cleaner. cant see it doing you any good, although boat would go faster due to wallet being lighter

Mercruiser 3.0 diagnosis / serial number decode

Better yet use the OEM bellows. I changed mine last year- 18 years old the drive shaft bellows was just starting to look chaffed on edges of ribs, exhaust had already given up the ghost. I figure while they are pricey I will not own the boat next time they need done...

https://www.marineengine.com/parts/mercruiser-sterndrive-parts/ these are the parts diagrams I usually use. While i try to support our host site here with parts purchases, their parts look up is painful... the photo you sent of the lower is an earlier MC1 lower as shown by rounded cav plate...

Alpha One Clicking in Forward, Stalls in Reverse

I'm not sure. Elsewhere in the manual is a procedure to measure the angle it takes to shift the drive. I think this is used to check for wear to shift components inside the drive. Might be worth looking at but would try moving it on the slot to see if you can get it to work. You said this is...

How do you store / transport your rolled up floating mat on your boat?

Yes is an issue with the tube. what I have done is unroll the mat and anchor it where we are hanging out. Then pull the tube out. Requires a good 12 v inflator but worth the effort.

Alpha One Clicking in Forward, Stalls in Reverse

Or replace. If you remove lower shift cable form shift plate you should be able to shift it easily with two fingers, no pressure to move it. If it doesnt move then pull drive and go through linkage to determine where the hang up would be. If cable doesnt move smoothly or has too much stretch...

How do you store / transport your rolled up floating mat on your boat?

On my sea ray 200 sport- I have a similar built in swim platform and similar sized mat. two person job to roll up but I do it exactly as you are proposing with sending a stern line through the middle cleat to cleat. Dont sweat rolling it up tight as you can I bought slightly bigger straps so you...

    Marine Tex on Alodine?

Not sure if you are trying to evoke a sarcastic response... You are talking about cheap primers vs something like this, which is epoxy made for direct to metal- https://buyat.ppg.com/RefinishProductCatalog/ServeFile.ashx?FileId=A0320685-0081-4DBE-B240-D3E0B4005CB7 IF the OP blast to clean the...

    75 165 hp sterndrive question

Basically a 50 yr old boat that doesn’t run, should be free if you haul it away. Would suspect for a few bucks more you can find something running and less obsolete in terms of drivetrain. This would ultimately be cheaper to get water ready

    75 165 hp sterndrive question

Pull the drive to see if the engine turns before buying it. Drive is easy to do but if engine is locked up turns more costly. Did yiu check for stringer transom and floor rot?
