In the water over the winter

I'm in SC and leave mine in the water every winter. I crank it up every couple of weeks and if the water isn't too low take it for a drive.

    Motor stalls in neutral

I use a regular marine starting battery. I recently filled it up with distilled water and put it on slow charge. Also I learned my lesson using cheap rectifier / regulators. The $30 ones don't last. I spend $140 and get CDI.

    Motor stalls in neutral

Must have been air bubbles in the fuel lines it primes now. I have a different problem now. The motor won't start even using starting fluid. I expect no spark but I haven't tested yet. The symptoms lead me to believe it's the regulator. My tach would work for 10-15 minutes then die. Then it...

    Motor stalls in neutral

Hi all, My 1995 90hp stalls in neutral since I have changed my fuel filter. Also the primer bulb no longer gets firm. I assume I'm getting air the the fuel lines which is what I'll check before messing with the idle speed.

    Water in Fuel Starting Issues

I've had the tank out before. I just disconnect the fuel and vent hoses disconnect the sending unit and pull it out. I think I'll clean and dry it then check the pump and carbs and change the filter. I'll also run in on the 5 gallon tank.

    Water in Fuel Starting Issues

There's an in-line filter. I think there may still be water in the tank but I ran it for more than a hour after putting 10 gallons of gas. Wouldn't that get all the water out?

    Water in Fuel Starting Issues

I ran my 95 90hp low on gas and it shut off. I had to use starting fluid to get it going again. I assume it was water in the bottom of the tank. I put some Heet in the tank and 10 gallons of pre mix. Now the motor is very hard to start. It's almost like fuel is not getting to the carbs. My...

    Post your performance numbers

Yes. My gas gauge is not accurate but I would estimate around 2-2.5 gallons per mile.

According to the manual press menu twice and I should see an Alarms tab. I don't see one. I would like to set a depth alarm. What am I missing? Thanks

    Prop change or not

Without knowing your boats weight I would guess 12 x 10.5 would give you max WOT. I got that using the turning point prop wizard: https://turningpointpropellers.com/PROPWIZARD/

    Prop change or not

You want to get a prop pitch that will get you close to WOT RPM (accurate tach) with the weight you want to carry. I have a 1995 90 HP Force and use a Mercury Quicksilver 13 pitch aluminum. There are many Prop Selectors out there and some shops will let you try props. I got mine from iBoats...
