    If I I understand you correctly , you need to use belt arrangement post 4 bottom right. Meaning you need another bracket to move belt lower on the top

    Your saying Alpha and Bravo and no closed cooling Your belt should be top left post 3 if it is an Alpha Your belt should be top right post 3 if it is a Bravo

    If you have a 454Mag MPI then you have 385 HP at the prop If it's a 454 MPI which would be 310 HP L29 at the prop A 350 Mag MPI is 300 HP at the prop So if your going from a L29 to a 350 MPI then the less weight will help regular running around.     If you still have the old carb, might try this. Remove float and get a hair dryer or heat gun. Heat the plastic up so it will bend just a slight bit. Other then that I'm also clueless

    I don't know if this is correct but I've seen this comment on a few forums "Take prop off, lay it on a flat surface and measure the height difference between the leading and trailing edges of a blade, then multiply that number by number of blades. That will give you the pitch."
