    It's usually never the coil, but the White/Green wire needs to be tapped on a good ground really fast to verify

    By the color wires on them. In post 9 the colors are there. They are the same relays and can be swapped. If FP relay is not working, swap the two then turn key on, if you don't get things to power up then FP relay is bad, if it does power up the re n relay is good and problem is something else

    If the gray Tach wire should not be grounded. Ifthe Tach shorts out or the gray wire is grounded it will kill the spark. Disconnect the wire to take it out of the equation If you have a purple/white wire this would mean you have a TBV ignition.

    Welcome It should be a inboard V drive and the anode(s) would be on the stern of the hull. Might also have one on each prop shaft close to the cutlass bearing You should use zinc for salt water

    Welcome Don't have a diagram for your motor but in most cases there is a start assist relay which energizes the starter solenoid on the starter. Key yell/Red to start assist relay Larger Yell/Red from start assist to starter solenoid This is a older 4.3 GXI but should be the same

    Welcome Lets start with the original motor serial number? If you don't know the SN tell us more about the 5.0, is it fuel injected or carb? Which ignition? Kill switch should not go to ground, it should be placed inline with the purple wire coming from the key. Should pass power to the coil...

    Are ALL of the spark plugs out of the motor? If they are then the motor is locked up
