    2003 Z250 Overheating

stats and water pump would be the 1st things I would look at

    2003 ox66 200 intermittent shut down

no I do not, but if the pump can pump higher pressure and the rail regulator is dumping too much pressure, I would think a new pump would not help

    2003 ox66 200 intermittent shut down

are you sure you gauge is correct? does the pressure spike when you 1st turn on the key/start and then drop back? I believe there should be a pressure regulator that controls how much to recirculate back to control pressure in the rail

Tricky Yamaha C85 Electrical Problem - 1 cyl OOS - Problem Rolls with Stator wires but new stator - Same issue

This is good info. I have a feeling the OP has not measured peak voltages, just ohmed out everything. but I could be wrong. still does not make sense why swapping the brown and blue wire on charge coils moves the miss from #1 to #3 I guess that would change the polarity maybe. but I would...

    low compression #2 cylinder - 1988 suzuki dt85

most all motors I have messed with had a shift shaft you needed to disconnect in the lower part of the lower unit. some needed the water intake screens removed to get to the coupling or some other area. But I have not played with many Suzukis

Tricky Yamaha C85 Electrical Problem - 1 cyl OOS - Problem Rolls with Stator wires but new stator - Same issue

this drawing shows 4 wires for the pulser coils and 3 for the charge coils. charge coils have a common between, but pulsers show totally separate from each other. Does your manual show something like this with wire colors on those wires? you said green wire, but I am sure you meant white with...

Tricky Yamaha C85 Electrical Problem - 1 cyl OOS - Problem Rolls with Stator wires but new stator - Same issue

Yea, my C40 has 3 pulsers coils one for each cylinder. that makes more sense than all this other stuff added to mystify the way things work. So if that C85 has 2 pulser coils should that mean #1 is run off of one and #3 run of the other, since swapping the brown and blue wire makes the miss...

Tricky Yamaha C85 Electrical Problem - 1 cyl OOS - Problem Rolls with Stator wires but new stator - Same issue

probably at work back before 2006, but I did not create much with it I am surprised to see just one pulser coil on that 90

Tricky Yamaha C85 Electrical Problem - 1 cyl OOS - Problem Rolls with Stator wires but new stator - Same issue

I missed it earlier, seems he just swapped the brown and blue wires from stater to CDI. red stayed the same I have no idea what those 3 wires are from. charge coils or maybe charge and pulser coils looking at a parts drawing/pic the stator seems to have 2 charge coils and 8 lighting coils...

Tricky Yamaha C85 Electrical Problem - 1 cyl OOS - Problem Rolls with Stator wires but new stator - Same issue

just for your information, the lighting coil feeds the rectifier/regulator to charge the battery. charge coil feeds into the CDI to charge up the capacitor for ignition system and so does the 2 pulser coils

Tricky Yamaha C85 Electrical Problem - 1 cyl OOS - Problem Rolls with Stator wires but new stator - Same issue

Boscoe, you know anything about a C85 ingition system? should it be the same as a 90 about that year?

Tricky Yamaha C85 Electrical Problem - 1 cyl OOS - Problem Rolls with Stator wires but new stator - Same issue

all I can say is good luck. I have never read anything like that before in a Yamaha Service manual. the 90 should be the same as the 85 in my thoughts. and it fires plug #1 off of one pulser and #3 off of the other pulser coil #2 is made up by the CDI . peak voltage readings need to be taken...

Tricky Yamaha C85 Electrical Problem - 1 cyl OOS - Problem Rolls with Stator wires but new stator - Same issue

are you saying there in no spark on #1 cylinder? how did you test the spark? did you check the peak voltages into and out of the CDI with the proper test equipment, and compare those reading to the specs in the service manual for your motor? it was my understanding that #1 and #3 get the...

Yamaha runs awesome, will not re-start after running???

the more fuel you burn the more heat is generated, so if the cooling system is not working well it can cause more heating while running high RPM

Yamaha runs awesome, will not re-start after running???

you can always pull the stat and test it in a pot of water to see if it opens and closed at the correct temperatures to see if that is a problem. or buy a new one and hope that was the problem. It is not normal for the telltale to be real hot on 2 strokes, but I know very little on 4 stroke...

Yamaha runs awesome, will not re-start after running???

well, no start means no spark at proper time once heated up, bad compression when heated up, not enough fuel or too much fuel when heated up. spark and compression should be easy to check, but the correct ratio of fuel to air is not that easy. so, Bosco mentions adding more air by opening up the...
