Wrecked boat, repaired now problems with rpm.

You could but need all the special tools to set preload and tolerances Maybe, but if you could find a prop shop, many times they let you try props. It's usually buy the prop and it will be exchanged

Wrecked boat, repaired now problems with rpm.

Yes If drive ratio is higher (sounds like it is) then you need a lower pitch prop. Not likely to find a prop lower then 17

2007 Larson cabrio 240 beeping and in limp mode

Thanks 5.0GXI-GF and has 555 ECM and HSV distributor My guess is it's a sensor that lost connection (exhaust temp, water temp, oil pressure, other) but this is just a guess. These new motors need a scanner to tell us what's happening. If you can get it scanned for codes we would have a...

    2001 Crownline Alarm

In most cases it's behind the helm next to the alarm Formula uses them This is a Merc but VP is the same at the helm, note how the alarm is powered

    2001 Crownline Alarm

Don't know if VP used what "sometimes" some boat manufactures used which was a time delay switch (for lack of a better term). The switch had about 1 minute delay before it would pass 12V to the alarm. This delay would allow the key to be turned ON and have no alarm. Once started and time ran...

2007 Larson cabrio 240 beeping and in limp mode

I moved you to VP area, you posted in FAQ area It's a GXI - what? Showing 13V with motor running is not good (if your using a hand held meter and not the one on the boat). What is the voltage reading with a hand held meter at the Battery with motor running?

    2001 Crownline Alarm

If {note the IF) the alarm is ON when motor is OFF and key is ON then this is normal for the oil pressure switch Once motor starts, pressure increases and opens the switch so it removes the ground on the alarm turning it off

    2001 Crownline Alarm

I merged threads in VP section, please don't start threads in other sections Sometimes folks don't see the thread, so post again and bump it. Other times the folks that may know just haven't noticed it. If you look through the motor section (as example) and see who answers most questions...

    Properly handling estuary, gotcha's etc.

Someone like @dingbat might be best, but most lines on charts are "suggested best routes" and are there for commercial traffic. NOAA has a legend for their charts, it is a good read but will take some time, 132 pages https://nauticalcharts.noaa.gov/publications/docs/us-chart-1/ChartNo1.pdf

    Propping Twins Preference/ Theory

Prop for max RPM As Ted said your not going to get on plane with one motor no matter what. Even if you lift the drive full out the boat will not handle very well at all.

2005 350 Mag dropping fuel pressure under load

Thanks for the update but I'm not seeing how plug wires will kill a motor unless its burning thru the jacket of receiving wire Might be loose/corroded connection on the engine connector
