    ECU pinout/wiring diagrams ???

Do you have a scanner, and was there any codes? Might help to narrow it down Assume they are both mechanical shift and not DTS I'm looking at Merc just to maybe get some clues if they did something different Another thought, wonder if Bob at OBD Diagnostics might help. He does repair and...

    ECU pinout/wiring diagrams ???

Was thinking you might know if there were any pin out differences and just mention those. OP would know his serial number but probably not the other harness. Looks like way more complex I guess, each serial number could be different

converting TKS choke to electric choke

Welcome With fuel in the carb bowl, put throttle handle in "throttle only" and move handle to full WOT and back to idle (keeping handle in throttle only) This should cause the choke to close and accelerator pump should squirt gas down the throat Crank motor, if it doesn't start in a few...

2006 3.0L TKS runs well for a few minutes but then won't restart

It's an electrical problem and the Bat is showing 90% charge if your meter reads correctly. I would start with cleaning all the Battery cable ends, including the ground cable attached to rear of block. Disconnect the 10 pin engine harness and clean the pins Could be corrosion on any contact...

Maybe my turn for new boat time

Hope so, but went from Rinker 232 to Furmula 27PC and never ran into this kind of stuff. It's like someone that never drove a boat before some times

1996 3.0lx won't start after new fuel pump install

That would increase the idle mix but shouldn't cause that much of an issue. Could be the carb needs rebuilding. Carb was doing ok with lower then normal pressure from the pump. Install new pump and pressure is back up and the float needle seat is not able to keep the increased fuel shut off...

    2003 Crownline initial starting problem

Thanks Gi-B MPI with flat Dizzy cap (crap cap) The distributor caps are called crap caps because they can look brand new and still have problems. Not saying this is your issue but we tell folks with one of those should replace and if it doesn't fix the issue, keep it because it will show it's...

Maybe my turn for new boat time

Do realize now why they sell so many joystick controls. If you have 8 turns lock to lock you just can not mentally remember while docking how many turns was that. Add in 4 blade cupped props so REV does grab much, and it's just hard to steer. I'm getting better, but this is going to be a...

    Strange running

Might be fuel pump is loosing power, weak or oil pressure safety switch. Check to see if fuel pump runs when cranking and could bypass switch "for testing" and see if issue goes away, otherwise might need to check fuel pressure

    Strange running

Might be a clogged vent line If it does it, stop and open the gas cap and listen for air being sucked in. If you do then tank vent line is clogged. The fuller the tank the quicker it takes the fuel pump to draw a vacuum. The more empty the tank is the more time it takes to draw the a vacuum
