    running that pump with no fuel in the VST probably smoked it. it uses the fuel to lube and cool the pump/motor. but you need to make sure the pump is getting voltage and the ECU is giving it a ground path

    I am not sure what you are trying to say. are you saying that one fuel pump will flood all carbs? the other poster was talking about if the pump diaphragm leaks, it will flood #3 crankcase and not affect all 3. which is correct.

    Tank pressure should not flood a motor. I had an old metal tank before on a 35 hp Evinrude that the primer bulb blow up on when I stopped at my parents house and let it sit in the sun for a few hours, but it never flooded the motor

    I have read as long as there is very good water pressure there will be some water getting to the pump lubricating it. if you are really worried about it inspect the pump yourself

    something is stopping the motor from turning. if water gets into a cylinder it will act like that. pull the plugs and inspect the next time it does that. or see if you can turn the motor/flywheel by hand the next time it stops moving with the rope
