    No start situation

Thanks, you have TKS carb and EST ignition Orange is not a good color for spark (white or Blue) but not ready for a coil yet Don't use starting fluid, it can break things. Take a tea spoon of gas and drip into the carb, see if it will start Need to test the components

    Fuel flow

^^^ It's a suck and blow thing. Don't want to suck fuel out of the motor and blow it into the fuel tank Look for the arrow

Engine wont shut off with key

I'm at the point the the motor needs either a complete rewire (everything goes), or need someone that understands how the electrical circuits work and can put their hands on it. We're not getting anywhere. You need to understand why there is a problem having voltage on the I terminal and not...

2016 Mercruiser 6.2 ECT - long beep every few minutes???

All sensors work off a single 5V reference produced by the ECM. Any sensor that draws to much current causes all kinds of issues

Could fire up the motor with module unplugged and if it stays cool then its the module

    2005 bayliner 4.3

Thats a diode. It may ok but something is drawing to much current. If it cools down after the module is unplugged then its just the module. If it remains hot then might be the temp switch

    1997 Glastron 24GS alsrm

Start the motor, then disconnect one by one the lube bottle, temp switch and oil pressure switch. Temp switch is on thermostat housing has 2 wires on it, gauge has one. Oil pressure switch is low port side next to oil pressure gauge sender. The oil switch is the smaller of the 2

How about your kill switch? Check for 12V at the coil with key ON and see if it stays there when cranking

    Exhaust bellows

No its not needed. They make a exhaust tube which just connects on the transom side

Electrical Issues after replacing trim switch/sensor 7.4 EFI/MPI

Don't see a stuck key melting the fuse, but it would cause some issues. The beep garble might just be the beeper having an issue, don't know for sure. The blower might be the wasp or just bad connections, have to look

    2005 bayliner 4.3

Would like to see the red terminal that is getting hot There has been several times where the Temp switch started shorting out. Your not blowing the fuse but something is drawing enough current to drop the voltage is my guess

Engine wont shut off with key

This is the real answer. With Pertronix the wire from the I terminal to the coil is no longer needed. Don't know all the wiring changes, but I would guess there isn't a resistor wire from the key, its just a wire. Remove wire off I and the coil There is still an issue with power going to the...

Just thought of something else. Originally Merc put 20 amp fuses in ignition, if you have a 15 amp, replace with 20. If it does good, its probably still the module
