    The special toolbox drawer

Bingo. except my GM distributor wrench was a dog bone that i sawed the end off and welded it back on at a 90 deg angle. And the piece of an Allen wrench soldered to a piece of throttle cable housing with a homemade handle to set dwell. Wonder how many people still alive today own two dwell meters.

    The special toolbox drawer

How many of you have more than a few of these in your tool box drawers. It can be a trip down memory lane remembering for what vehicle each one was for. Picture is not my stuff but have a lot similar including home made sockets made from 2 1/2" pipe for nuts on floating axles.

    Tips On Replacing Starter

Just replaced a starter on my skid steer with this method since it also was a one-handed job. Got a couple of manifold studs the right size as guides. Finger tighten a nut on one before removing the other one to hold the starter in place to replace the stud with bolt. Yes it was a gear...

    Chainsaw Carving

Here is one with a nautical theme from Hoosekow (A meeting of carvers from all over the country much like a trappers' rendezvous) that takes place every years about ten miles from my home.

    Chainsaw Carving

This has been sitting in the parking lot of a public park a few miles up the road for a few weeks now. Finally took the time to stop and get some pics today. Paddles are marked Lewis and Clark.

    Scraped bottom

I could smooth out those burrs with the file on my leatherman tool. I wish that was the worst damage I ever did to a prop in my 74 years of operating power boats. Smooth it up and go boating but having a spare is always a good idea.

    Air silencer cover

Myself I would try no gasket at all. If I noticed that it was making an annoying noise from air leaks then RTV. I doubt you will notice any difference with no gasket.

12' Aluminum V-Hull - Issues porpoising and planing

Have a 12' Meyers 12' I run mostly on electric only lakes. Oldest boy bought a 5 hp Merc cheap and put it on. I put a 5 gal dry wall bucket between the bow and the front seat and just added water for ballast. About a half bucket (about 20 pounds) was the perfect amount for best handling...

Are these old D!ck Pope Water Skis any good?

Got a bunch of **** Popes and other wood skis in the loft of one of my garages. Since I haven't skied in about ten years when I was in my mid seventies I still can't bear to throw them away. I figure if George H. W. Bush sky dived when he was 90 I still might need them some day.

Does anyone remember when car & boat engines only had.

I remember M38 Jeeps with hand cranks on the wipers. Can't remember if that was only on the passenger side or not.

Does anyone remember when car & boat engines only had.

Had a couple of mid 50's Buicks that you would turn the key and depress the gas pedal. A Studebaker that you had to depress the clutch so you wouldn't start it in gear. Several old trucks with out solenoids, just a pedal that was foot operated, a lot of military equipment kept them that way...

    Bent skeg on outboard

Like the others said, leave it be. Any attempt to straighten it is a percentage game. No matter how careful or experienced you are it is only one light tap from being a very expensive job.

Went to the lake and nearly got that sinking feeling...

I/O or outboard? Were all the drainplugs on the engine replaced after winterization if I/O?
