    No pee Johnson outboard

It seems it’s time to take a step back and start from the beginning following Crosbymans questions to the T. If you do this carefully you will find your problem. Unless I missed it we still don’t know where your water level is In relation to the pump on this motor. I’m just curious as to what...

    No pee Johnson outboard

I ask again? Are you running in a barrel or on muffs? If in a barrel how far above the pick up screen is your water level? These pumps are not self priming. The water needs to be 6 to 8 inches above the screen. When it stop peeing you could be getting air instead of water.

    V-4 cylinders

If your talking about porting and polishing I wouldn’t waste your time. I know a guy that payed big bucks to have this done and there were no noticeable gains at the of the day. Best

96 Johnson 25HP problem at full throttle

You should start a new post as this one is old. In the mean time you can mark your hub and prop if you have a hub and then check your marks after the problem occurs. If your marks are not lined up then it’s slipping.

Water in fuel, how to restart engine on good gas

In my eyes the problem with ethanol fuel is not using it in a timely manner. It’s fine in an automotive system that is a sealed system but in a vented system like we find in boats it will collect moisture from the air. Fuel stabilizers are effective and very important for long term storage and...

Water in fuel, how to restart engine on good gas

I would add a fuel water separator to prevent any future problems.

High RPM surge driving me nuts!!!

There is no fuel pressure to be found there. That valve is for injecting cleaners, fogging oil and such.

High RPM surge driving me nuts!!!

You have a lot going on here but I wouldn’t rule out the prop slipping. Just for kicks mark your prop and hub and if your marks aren’t lined up after your next trip then you will know. Best

    1991 Evinrude 200 XP

Yea it looks like you have your hands full with this one. It’s hard to say for sure from the pics but that cylinder looks to be to far gone. I don’t think honing alone will get you to where you need to be. That crank journal looks pretty well toast as well and would likely need repaired. Then...

    Both outboards have no spark

Is this boat new to you? I feel like something simple is being over looked. MOB switch or something like that. As well as the other questions asked what type of throttle controls does it have?

    Powerhead gasket

Thinking about it more if your mating surfaces are pitted in anyway it wouldn’t hurt Best

    Powerhead gasket

it’s not needed in my eyes.

    Reed/Leaf Valves

I would lean towards a float or float valve problem as well

optional engine cover for 1971 Johnson 50

Agreed I didn’t detect any sarcasm there or making fun of you. I think he was just saying you like to know where people are so you can help lead them in the right direction. That what I got from it anyway. Best

97 johnson 200 Throttle body help

They could have stocked their shelves with new old stock as well. I have seen adds for dealers In my area going out of business or already did some time ago selling off old stock. That could be a question to ask your supplier as well.
