    Mercruiser 3.0 No Spark issues

If its soft there is no easy fix. Take a Philips screw driver and try to press it into the transom. ON SECOND thought DON'T DO THAT. My thought is its soft, and if you push a screw driver into the transom it may turn into a really bad leak

Mercruiser 3.0 base timing a myth?

Yes Set timing Disconnect white jumper and reconnect shift interrupter. With timing light still connected, and engine at IDLE, verify that timing did advance to 12? BTDC, (plus or minus 2?). At 2400-2800 RPM maximum (total) advance is obtained and should be 27? BTDC (plus or minus 2?).

    1990 5.7. 260 Overcooling at idle.

Could try that but I don't see how that will help. As before the thermostat housing should keep the water closed inside the block until it opens.

2005 VP 5.7 Gi-e, Rough Idle No Power to Plane

Serial number doesn't show up The motor didn't jump a tooth, it sounds like timing is not set correctly or there is an issue with the crank or cam sensor. The Bulletin shows how to make a timing tool to get it exact

    Fuse panel

There "may be" an inline fuse, and if its there it doesn't connect to the fuse panel. Find the red/purple wire at the key switch and follow it back to the fuse (if its there) or to the fuse panel if its not a inline type
