1981 Sportcraft 270 repair underway - transom, stringers, & repower

The glassed plywood pads are what I set my tank floor on. Then the rubber can attach to the underside of the tank or the deck the tank sits on. https://forums.iboats.com/threads/rehab-sportcraft-222-1983-deep-v-hull-cuddy-walkaround.636499/post-4685308

1981 Sportcraft 270 repair underway - transom, stringers, & repower

For the tank I built up some ply the length of the box like almost a 2x4 and ply pads in corners. They were all glassed. Ply floor sat on that and creates a flow area under tank back to the bilge. That is the correct rubber to use under the tank.

1981 Sportcraft 270 repair underway - transom, stringers, & repower

Your boat is 5' bigger than mine and in addition you have an inboard. All said and done I would have every stringer regardless of factory production to deck height. Build better as it usually the case. Hope this helps. I actually did and replaced a 2x4 partial keel that runs from front to the...

I bought 2 Seaflow bilge pumps and 2 3 way switches on my panel. Did a prelim test with a 5 gal buchet. Manual, off, auto. All worked great. That being said my next step is to mount the pumps in my bilge. Yup...this is getting exciting again! I hate electric. Fianlly some Sun to dry out dasboot.

1981 Sportcraft 270 repair underway - transom, stringers, & repower

Yes you will want to use 3/4" exterior grade ply. Not "treated" wood but exteriror rated. From hull to underdeck side height. These boats have quite a few underdeck stringers and crossmembers. Looking real good you are! Not sure if you did but save the live well and side wells and they can be...
