    Be careful as that's a Mercosil engine block. Have to use special type tools to repair cylinders if damaged

    Sound like carbs and fuel pump diaphragms needs to be addressed again. If installed incorrectly or wrong type the lil flapper ears do not seal the passages in carb body.

    Sound more like a switchbox bias problem than a stator problem on the spark loss

    Could be a broken tooth on pinion in gearcase. The noise traveling up driveshaft to crank. Seen a couple of V6 do this.
