    Either splines stripped in crank or shaft broke above impeller which be noisy as crap. Could have the stubby shaft unit if 25" or longer and coupler stripped connecting engine to lowrer

    It has no base..2 gaskets and wear plate the bolt directly to lower unit housing..

    That motor doesn't have a water pump base.... make sure filler block is in place in lower unit. and has the correct t-stats and matching covers. Also check you air pump as it has a temp sensor on it...

    Only alarm system is oil level in tank...so either the float is stuck down or magnet has come off.

    Read battery voltage at idle and should 1-2 volts over standing battery voltage, test at 3000 rpm and should see 12.9-13.4 volts

    If you have a battery selector switch check connections there also..1982/83 used 10 amp stator and 1984 up used 35amp stator. Need the model numbers
