    OK SN shows TBV ignition and TKS carb Yes you can remove wires one at a time to see if there is equal change. If one cylinder shows more change then others, I would do a compression test first. May not be a problem

    Its hardly ever the coil, they just don't fail. I think the ECM has a driver inside it that is drawing more current If you have to throw a coil at it it's made by AC Delco. Search for AC Delco 8M0054588 coil, and can find some on ebay much cheaper I would suggest contacting John at boats...

    Nothing wrong with a overhauled motor, "so long as" the overhaul was done correctly. Hours don't mean much, many didn't come with an hour meter and there easy enough to replace. Don't buy without full inspection and test ride.

    There have been a lot of busted blocks this season. From Texas, was just checking Place a voltmeter on the starter post and ground. Voltage should be 12.5 to 22.7 volts. Leave meter on and turn key to start. Voltage should not fall below 11 volts
