    Electric fuel pump issues

The serial number 0L036613 0r 0L038613 comes up as 1998 3.0 If the motor coming with a mechanical pump and it was changed over to electric, it may not have the purple/yellow wire. Look on the solenoid to see where the wire would be and if there is even a terminal there This is how Merc would...

Have a motor serial number? Does the alarm work on the boat? Meaning do you get any beeps when the key is turned ON? If you do, check your fuel pressure at the rail

'69 20' Bertram Sportsman Center Console

The 470 is no longer made and many had their own issues. I would not fix the 470, just get something else. You did say you want to go back original though

    Engine starts and dies.

The scanner shows readings from the sensors. The codes are also read by the scanner if there are any on another screen. If there are none, then I would think about having the ECM tested.

    283 flywheel

With the same part number they should both be the same. The difference in balancing holes most likely was better manufacturing processes for the newer one.

VP 5.0Gxi w/ SX-A on 2006 Four Winns H210 shakes when trimmed up

Don't see the trim pump making the drive shake. Its just a hydraulic pump. With it on the trailer, put muffs on and run it in gear and watch as its trimmed up and down. If nothing is seen, I would take the drive off

Something is wrong and needs to be checked out. I would contact the folks who did the work Could be bearing was not installed correctly, U joints or coupler. The U joint should have been checked during bearing replacement, along with alignment

    Random alarm 5.7L carb'd Bravo 2

It may be a chafed wire. Power goes to the alarm and the Tan/Blue is grounded to sound the alarm. It can be the lube bottle, Temp sender and oil pressure switch. Check the oil pressure switch, it can be Tee'd with the oil pressure sensor which goes to the gauge. 87-864252A01

Engine cut out while slowing down....

The procedure above is also how the rockers should be tightened to spec. Manual states if not done this way it can bend push rods

Engine cut out while slowing down....

Agree Did you check clearance of the collapsed lifters? Basically the lifter is fully collapsed and tool is used to see if there is still room to insert the gauge. If its unable to insert then a different length of rod is needed
