    1) Is overheat alarm working? 2) If so ..does it go off? 3) A temp gauge depending on where sensor is mounted will cause you to chase ghost problems, a water pressure is better. 4) You cannot run motor with t-stats removed, either a 5/16 fender washer or t-stat .

    The dealer is correct if motor came from factory as a jet. Way easier to swap a prop to jet than convert a jet back to prop

    Fix the heads, decarbon it and run it. Doubt its 20-30 % if so the cylinders have major damage. Most people dont know how to do a leak down on a 2 stroke properly.
