    I don’t think that can be welded. I would use an aluminum powdered epoxy like a quick steel for aluminum. Sand it down. And paint it with a cast type paint

    Check with your state on what to do... Here in NY it's fairly easy for boats made before 1986. But every state is different... If you live in VT it's extremely easy and you could probably register a napkin holder if you wanted

    Some kind of a surge brake I think. 19’ StarCraft tin boat will weigh 1,600 lbs or so fully loaded. Up to 2000 lbs depending on how much gear and fuel you have but the cutoff is 3,500 lbs gross combined so it should fall under that. Trailers are pretty cheap. I wouldn’t mess with that rust pile

    Got my tires on. Strapped the boat. Put a strap on the outdrive. I didn’t tug the boat home. One of the bearings sounds crunchy… anyone have a guess as to which bearing it is? 5 lug 13” tires. 16-17’ boat trailer.
