I should stay off Marketplace. There’s a 1988 Blue Fin 1900 SC with an OMC 2.3 setup that is non running for dirt cheap and the rest of the boat is in great condition including a camper canvas.. even though I have no room, it dawned on me that I have another complete Alpha gen 1 in parts boat...
Fords will also auto learn TPMS, but they can be reset like a GM as well… fwiw a GM/ Ford tpms reset tool costs about $5 if you catch the right deal. I paid $10 for 2 a couple months ago
One of the small oversights that I’m glad I cought before launching. Have a new rotary helm. Turns right but needs to be adjusted. I cannot turn left the cable is all the way in at center . . Is it the block on the tilt tube that rotates?
This is my thinking. The cable came from a running boat and it seemed to be in good shape and it shifted fine. I kept it because I saw nothing wrong with it and the bellows on the gimble are good.
My only concern is that theoretically it’s taking 1/2” of push away from forward. But it locks...
4.3L is muddy waters when you mix generations. You can make it work, but you will need a hand full of other 4.3l boat parts from a later 4.3l boat.. there are multiple variations of 4.3l and balance shaft vs non balance shaft is only the first hurdle
BIA and the coast guard doesn’t care about elevation. And Weight affects a pontoon greatly. Put 120hp on it and it’ll be fast enough to pull a tube and have a little fun
Fighting with multiple things and possibilities now with my shifting.. I have a Mercury outboard controller ( new ), so this is a little different than most setups I’m sure. New Teleflex extreme cables. Lower shift is older but in good shape. It’s smooth with very little free play

I took 2 boat’s apart. One was an 86, the other a 71. The washer was against the square shank and tightened into the housing. I put my boat back the same way but have not had it in the water yet
The panel mount for the Uniden and adapting it is not a bad idea. It is much smaller than the Ray Jeff. I’ll grab a stainless kick panel from the home center like i did for the little boat.
Don’t sweat the ethanol. Pump what you know you will use and burn it.
The fuel pump is probably available if not a rebuild kit for sure is. It’s a Carter pump that has a hose nipple on the weep hole. It’s so if the pump fails it does not fill the bilge.
