    This above............ if you do change tha shaft shaft seal jus be careful to take care that you do not let tha shaft rise when you pull tha seal... prop shaft seals won't have anything ta do with leaking at intakes but will allow water ta enter tha case.....

    don't forget #3 (tubing, seal).... also check both pieces for any cracks while ya have 'em off............... also if any of tha exhaust ports are really clean ya may need ta take a closer looks at tha pistons and cylinders.........

    remove all and leave all tha plugs on their wires then ground tha plugs to tha block.. even number one.. there is a "chance" (not written in stone but) of wipin' out a switch box with ungrounded coils when crankin'.. if it turns over to fast and starter kicks out to early put one at a time back...

    probably was a "quick connect" on tha motor and they jus eliminated it and went straight to tha fuel pump..... losta folks do that. a filter, of any kind, doesn't have any reflection on tha "prime/choke" circuit...........

    if your base measures 2 1/4" (2.245") kit will be # 96148A8... if it measures 2 11/32" close ta 3/8" (2.350") it will be kit # 42579A4

    is your gearcase a pre-load?.. what is tha dia. of tha base? should be one of these: 2 1/4" or 2 3/8"

    tha ratio will only come inta play with how ya prop it for tha type performance your lookin' for... your set up (motor height, offset, prop), type and weight of your rig will be of tha utmost importance for that... you can determine what ratio ya have by markin prop shaft and flywheel.. with it...

    tha ratio could be different on it.. all 2.0 motors came (normally) came with 2 ta 1 gears.. everything else had 1.87 ta 1's.... only exception was tha XR4 and 6.. they had a smaller "barrel" and 1.78 ta 1 gears... could be tha difference ya seein'.. with tha age of these motors nowdays its not...

    6568786 is good number.. you have ta put a "0" in front of tha 6568786.. "06568786"... they added tha 0 to all existing and new serial numbers in '90/'91 i believe..... its a '84 2.0 150.. its has electrics from tha '89... mystery solved... chris is close with his rendition of mercs.. they...
