    I have done it, but to replace that hose you need to cut it in half first so you done break the plastic transom fitting. make a razor knife edge tool to cut the hoses off the fittings and the "hose pliers" to install a new hose 2 inches longer than the stock hose

    that pic shows 2 gaskets and a block off plate, that will work IF there is a additional cooling hose directly to the elbow. If no additional hose you use 1 gasket only #10

    What you have is called the "Quick-Crack" system Suggest removing that system and revert back to a standard drain system

    By the way the GM coil is much cheaper and all you need to do is grind off the rivets to put the bracket on the new coil with nuts and bolts

    A quick update, Tech came to the boat to clear the codes and had the motor restart normally, All is well .No mention of what was cleared but it seems with a hi temp shutdown you cant just restart the motor until you clear the shutdown code first

    No video, but I suspect the housing either crackesor the crack is at the blue drain plug.Cheaper to replace it with some copper fittings Let me look for the pic

    In, most cases the diode in the alt has failed and the alt is back feeding the system

    All I know; Was being transported by water when the stbd motor, stbd riser/elbow had broken the water inlet to the elbow. Captain stated a Guardian shut down and came in on the other engine. R/R the water fitting connection . Motor does crank, electric fuel pump is heard, but motor will not run...
