    Does it bang out of gear or do the rpms suddenly shoot up. If the Rpms suddenly shoot up with no bang get a different prop.

    Sierra, wsm are good brands. There is also EMP PRODUCTS. And SEI PRODUCTS.

    How hard is it to pull as fast as you can until the gauge stop. If you have a manual start motor that you can start by hand. You can pull it 5 times with the plugs out and get an accurate reading. 5 times should be plenty to go until the gauge stops. Let's not overthink the simplest test you can do.

    Pull 5 BRISK times and read the compression. 2 strks build compression with Rpm.

    That doesn't look right. Should have 2 wires not 3. 1 from ignition 1 to ground might want to figure out what that one is doing.

    The exhaust cover will show you nothing. The lost foam cast blocks are different than the earlier blocks.

    More than likely a blown piston. Pretty common on those if the waterpump update has not been done. You cannot see the pistons through the exhaust on that motor.

    Put up a pic of that switch. It should only have 2 wires.
