    Impeller for 5.0 GL PEFS

I am getting part number 21951348. Maybe the same kit that Alldodge had too. EF is the important part of the model number for your engine...

All you have to do is make sure the engine is at TDC and the camshaft is aligned correctly. The shaft that rotates the distributor can be compensated for by rotating the distributor when you time the engine.

I was an amuteur the first time I replaced one of these. Fortunately, the B21 is a non interference engine so pretty hard to eff it up and damage anything.

I have done many of these on the same engine in the Volvo auto. It's probably the easiest timing belt I have ever come across. There are alignment markers on all the pulleys and typically on the belt too. Pretty hard to screw up.

The way the tensioner works is you loosen the bolt on the tensioner, allow it to tension the belt and then you tighten back up. If you don't the tensioner pulley will be loose and not be in alignment causing your belt to move like it is.

    Bravo 3 Drive Showers

If the boat is plugged into shore power, I can see the problem. If a boat is not plugged in, there really should be no issue. I may be adding an outlet on my dock and I would definitely do a voltage check to see if there was stray current.

    Bravo 3 Drive Showers

I think the monster hunks of stainless steel props are more of an issue. Fortunately, I am in fresh water 100% so not much of an issue.

    Bravo 3 Drive Showers

My boat is in Lake Tahoe where the warmest the water gets is 65°F. Those temperature stickers sound interesting. Where do you get them at? I was thinking about putting some wireless BBQ probes on it to see what it gets up to.

    Bravo 3 Drive Showers

Are they really necessary? My new to me Cobalt has a 350HP 6.2L on a 26' boat. Not a barn burner and I will run it under 4000RPM 99% of the time.

    Snow Birds: Beware!

Another thing you can do if you are missing the C wire is to just wire up the fan at the heater to come on when the heat comes on. I rarely use the fan by itself and then you can repurpose the fan wire to become your C wire.

    OMC Manuals

1994 is the transition year between the Cobra and the Cobra SX which are two completely different drives. Cobra SX is the joint venture with Volvo drive. If you could post a picture, that would be best to determine what drive you have. Even better would be a model number. Just because you have a...

SX drive Dip stick - how much to add?

Just so you know, when you fill up the drive from the bottom and the oil exits the vent hole behind the cover, that pretty much puts it dead on in the middle.

Cobra SX lower unit drain plug will not open

Make sure you replace the o-rings on all 3 plugs everytime you change your gear oil.

SX drive Dip stick - how much to add?

It's very little but I can't give you an exact number. What you don't do is screw it in and then screw it out to read it. You unscrew, wipe it off drop it in and then pull it out and read it. Should be right in the middle.

    Red engine motor year mystery

Looks like you have a 2006 engine. Like I said before, it has been completely changed from a 95.
