    has indicated the shift rod can not rotate by design ! but...you may want to adjust the shift rod lever operation where it meets the shifter handle. loosed the bolt to make adjustments

    bad as in what? ... motor dead ? not pumping IF the dealer is honest ...just the pump can be replaced you can purchase it and replace it if your are handy with these things. if you have ETEC you should get EV diagnostics.. the EMM can tell you certain trbl codes related to things...
