Any tips to release fuel tank stuck by floatation foam

Sometimes that foam can be easily "melted/dissolved" with something like acetone. Test it on your tank but pretty sure acetone won't bother your tank material. Might be pretty messy but the foam can be dissolved with the right stuff.

    Fuel filter

I agree but with today's fuels adding an extra filter does not hurt anything. I always use clear so I can see if anything is in it. On occasion the inline filter showed gunk and easily changed out and when the pump filter was checked it was clean. I prefer to catch the crud where it is easier...

Any tips to release fuel tank stuck by floatation foam

Yes, some air pressure might make the tank expand slightly to break the seal of the foam. Not sure how your acess is to the bottom of the tank, but if you can reach it, I would use a nice sharp fillet knife rather than a power tool. By hand, the tank would not be damaged by the fillet knife...

    Wealth preservation,....

My neighbor has 20 rental houses which I give him help when he needs it. He also has an older lady, been a tenant for over 15 years, always paid on time, never complains, keeps the place nice and mows her own grass ! Still pays the same 450 per month, he never has increased her rent !!

    StarCraft bilge pump options

A leak that bad needs repaired before going out !! My few leaky rivets added a quart of water every hour, no problem for the pump. Back in the day I forgot to put in my drain plug, my 500 Gph pump surpassed the water coming in and boat was empty by the time I got the plug in.

    StarCraft bilge pump options

On my Starcraft Islander I used a piece of aluminum sheet metal and bent it to set over a rib. Added a couple sheet metal screws to attach. As mentioned in prior post, wire so it protects boat at all times. I always carried two pumps and added an extra plug so the spare could be added quickly...

Will this boat fit on that trailer?

Right there, no ocean for me, no tides, but wind does make a big difference here on Lake Erie. There have been times when water at ramp was Ok going out, but 8 hrs later not enough water to get to the ramp!! Most of our ramps are shallow so it doesn't take much wind to move the water in or out.

Will this boat fit on that trailer?

You can't blame a trailer on low water or no water issues, some ramps just plain stink, no way around it, just try to avoid those ! Years back we had low water issues, I made a 4 ft long extension for my receiver just for backing in to load my boat....better than wading in !!

Will this boat fit on that trailer?

I have no issues with bunk trailers, to each his own. I have owned a few over the years with O complaints but same goes for the roller trailers. Bottom line is....proper setup !! I have never had to step in the water to launch or retrieve my boat on any trailer, if I did, I would fix that...

Awfull time launch & retrieve roller trailer

Wow, better luck than anyone I know ever had. When I go thru the trailer storage lot at our marina, I don't think I have saw one that wasn't cracked or flattened. What ever your doing, keep it up...

Awfull time launch & retrieve roller trailer

You have had better luck with rubber rollers than I have, never got more than a few years from them even stored inside. The last one I bought lasted two years and cracked, wouldn't roll and ended up bending the shaft. The poly rollers are about 12 yrs old and still look and roll like new

Awfull time launch & retrieve roller trailer

Look at most winter storage at marinas with large boats...three point support, two aft and one in the front....must be a bunch of bad hulls out there after that type of storage. My 1983 Islander sat on a roller trailer since new in '83.....not a single dent to date....after 41 years there would...

Awfull time launch & retrieve roller trailer

Those black rubber dollars do not last. After two years max they need replaced ! Spend the money on good poly ( yellow ones) rollers and they last for many years. As mentioned before the black rollers crack and get flat spots you might not see, if they can't roll, your boat ain't moving ...

Will this boat fit on that trailer?

No such thing as a "properly" fitted trailer that is not adjustable!! No two hulls are the same.

New issue cropped up on my transom/bunk position!

A big percentage of trailers are not set up properly for the boat, or the trailer is not suited for the boat it is carrying. Can't blame the rollers or bunks if not properly setup. Been hauling aluminum boats for well over 60 years, every trailer has had keel rollers, some bunk trailers, most...

    Fuel line problem

Get a good fuel filter, no cheap Chinesuim filters, the restrictions on good ones are so minor you will never notice. Tests on fuel filter flows have been going on for years, no longer an issue unless it us clogged up. Most have a flow rating, mine is way higher than my motor requirements.
