    you have to take the FW off to inspect the key. have you confirmed the orientation of the wires going to the coils from the ecu/ switch box/ cdi / ignition module or whatever names people call the unit that makes sparks happen are correct

    i hate to be the bearer of bad news , the motor has to come back off the hull to get that screw. if you are good with ratchet straps and a trolly jack you will be able to get the motor unbolted and leaned back far enough get access to the screw with extension bars and wobble joints. we did one...

IMHO that motor will probably live as long as the boat. funny thing about compression numbers and how people get to thinking a motor is dead because of a number that is 10 or 15 PSI low on a cylinder. news flash >>>...
