    axle repair sleeve question

you should not need to use any form of glue or what not on a 'speedy sleeve' if you have the correct one. also as posted ' never use heat ' to make the sleeve go on. if done correctly , the sleeve should slide strait in place , you can use a small smear of grease to start the process , be sure...

In storage 13 years, oil turned to jelly

normally i would agree to just dump fresh oil in and run it " however ' in this case OP needs to break down the goo that the oil has turned to , it will not get past the screen in the pick up, it will be all over for the bearings and other internal components that need oil pressure to keep...

In storage 13 years, oil turned to jelly

you could pour a few liters of mineral turpentine into the motor ,pull the spark plugs and crank it over for a bit. drain and repeat till you get a clear drain. mineral turpentine should mix well with oil and break down whatever the goo is.

Stalling after warm-up mystery 5.0 Mercruiser Searay

i recon you have a fuel delivery issue , possibly a particle of some sort in the bottom of the carb that randomly blocks a main jet. maybe an accelerator pump plunger bypassing. just chucking this one out there . i once had a bad coil lead that had a broken carbon core act up only when...

    Idle issue 4.3 mercruiser LX

a voltage spike would not re set the carb to a different idle , so IMO , and guessing here , it has to be something electrical , distributors don't move themselves either , so the only other way the timing could have only been changed enough to raise the idle is electronically. something weird...

Cyclone S jet boat need help

you should get away with just pressurizing that one cylinder ,IE doing a leak down test. if you have a scope ?, bring the piston up to just above the ports lock it there with a wedge in the FW so the motor cant turn over, test there , that should rule out head or gasket , which would bring to an...
