Spring is the only Season I like, as it means Winter is over. Summer gets too hot and humid, Autumn means Winter is coming, and I HATE Winter. Actually where I am there is really only Winter and Summer, Spring and Autumn are about 3 weeks long.
20 years ago, I had the Hub of an OMC RAKER for Evinrude/Johnson, replaced with a Hub that let me use the Prop on a Volvo Penta Drive. Any Competent Prop Shop should be able to do it
Oil is too low a Viscosity, or diluted with fuel?
Corroded/Dirty Connections can cause the Com Errors, as well as damaged wiring.
If engine is burning the Oil, it will gum up the O2 Sensor
Carbs and Mechanical Advance Distributors, so much easier to diagnose than the VooDoo Computer Controlled...
First make sure the Tach is accurate
Is the Spark advancing?
Is the Exhaust free, as in no blockage from relocated Flappers?
A Compression Test of all Cylinders
While a 3 Cylinder Engine has advantages over a 2 Cylinder when it comes to Exhaust Tuning(can help Economy and Power), I haven't heard many Good Things about these 3 Cylinder engines.
The gears are showing wear on the Clutch Dog Interface, especially on what I will assume is the Forward Gear. I would be changing them, and well as the Clutch Dog itself, and carefully inspecting all the Bearings in the Case, but that is just me.
I would the Gears are Shot, as there are several teeth with what look like Gouges and chipping, the Clutch Dog is worn, I suspect the Bearings are also going to show Galling. Most Common Reason for Lower Unit Damage, is people "Easing" it into Gear. Shifting needs to be very Quick with no Hesitation
We are repeatedly told that the Alternator isn't there to charge the Battery, but to cover the Load while the Car is driven. That never made much sense, However, a lot of Alternators can put out very large amount of Current(140+ Amps, often 80+ amps at Idle), and can damage a battery, if it is...
