Small crack in fiberglass hull with stains

It would be a fair bet that the stains are from water seepage, indicating that the structure of the hull has water in it. In order to get a fiberglass patch of any sort to adhere to the hull, it will need to be really dry. So, you can try to patch it, but it may not work.

    Bellow Replacement

+1 for the tube - it is not going to be a noticeable difference Get the tool for the retainer ring installation Have the Mercruiser Alpha outdrive manual handy and follow it closely for the bellow installation. The penalty of failure is quite high.

Re-upholstery Job on Cruisers Yacht 338 Bowrider

never seems to work that way. My 'lease' on the dining and family rooms in the house (for production and storage) has 'expired' . . .

Re-upholstery Job on Cruisers Yacht 338 Bowrider

The relays arrived (y) and I'm taking Friday & Monday off to get a good solid 4 days of boat work done. I think I need to make a tweak or 2 on the aft seat/sunbed. The seat does not do up all the way as flush with the port settee as it should. There is a stop switch under the...

    Nada Guide

The true value is what someone is willing to pay for something. No chart, calculation, or other mechanism can predict what someone will pay. NADA is largely a depreciation curve type of value estimate. There are other resources that use more current market input, like BUCValue. I generally...

Welcome to iBoats . . . Elsewhere to check are the oil coolers that are after the sea water pump. Also Bravoitis may be a possibility.

Welcome to iBoats . . . Lots of threads on similar restorations in this forum. Also, check out the 'stickies' for additional information. Post pictures as you go for better input from others who have been there done that. Do you have the proper ownership paperwork for the boat? Not worth...

Re-upholstery Job on Cruisers Yacht 338 Bowrider

Yes, I assumes that the FLAPS was the auto parts store, except the 'friendly' one is closed Sundays 🤪 Just the GLAPS is open today. Anyway, I did switch the relays and was able to lay down the sunbed, which was needed to install the 4 base pieces. Then switched the relays back to raise the...

More seat installation today . . . Helm seats. . . . . Here is the port side settee . . . . . The rear sunbed/seat is proving to be a challenge. At the outset of the project I put the 3 piano hinges in a safe place . . . of course it took me an hour to find them. . Here are the hinges going...

Re-upholstery Job on Cruisers Yacht 338 Bowrider

I was thinking DPDT . . . maybe, but I will swap the relays to get the sunbed to expand/lower.

Re-upholstery Job on Cruisers Yacht 338 Bowrider

Update . . . Work (what I do for a living) has been crazy the past few weeks, so not much time (or energy) after hours to work on the boat. This weekend, I should be able to get the remaining seats installed. The helm seats and the rear seat/sunpad each have some issues electrically or...

    1970 Stamas clearwater 24' rebuild

Following . . . The foam within the stringer grid is probably not all that structural IF (if) the stringer grid is in good shape otherwise. Do suck the water out with some drill holes (as mentioned) and maybe even tilt the boat to the holes and apply suction from a wet vac. As far as the...

Bravo 3 Oil Leak - Oh No !!!

The new anodes are still in the box. Those are last season's anodes. I'm not sure about the oil line, since it still has some marine growth on it. It looks like my next step will be to take the outdrive(s) off and see what is going on.

Bravo 3 Oil Leak - Oh No !!!

I'll be taking a closer look when I remove the outdrive. Right now, I'm thinking it could be something as simple as a missing clamp #6, or something to do with the barb fitting #8 at the bell housing. The oil where the bell housing and outdrive mate, could be a bad o-ring . . . . It might...

Bravo 3 Oil Leak - Oh No !!!

Yes, I cleaned the tube/hose off and no visible signs of cracking from where the dripping oil was located. So, my assumption at this point is that the source of the oil is from further up towards the bell housing. To my surprise is that the outdrive (and boat) are only 6 years old, so not...
