    The only advice I could add to it; The price is important!! That Force has the latest update('96) Flywheel / Ignition By Mercury (if the price is right/decent shape, I buy it without hesitation)

(meaning more carbon build-up one more then the other) Normally I would check the compression but I'm getting 5600 rpms alone in the boat and 5000+ with two and towing a tube so I'm not too concerned about...

    These are out of '90 Force 90 HP The bottom (#3) Sparkplug has more carbon built-up then these others, could the be caused by the recirculation-hoses to #3 getting plugged OR intermitted spark?

    I don't understand why I see tread on the shift shaft? The rubber seal could be stuck up in there as there with amount of grease showing although I cant really see it in the pic.

    I made mine out of fittings of old handpumps to fill the gear oil into the lower-units. one for pressurizing & one attached to a gauge RATED for low-pressures ONLY (for accuracy ) while pressurized (no need for more then 10 psi) turn drive & prop shaft move the shift-shaft up/down multiple time...
