    Brown pudding may be due to old and sometimes wrong grear oil .. you could try a qwick refill and run the engine a while and recheck the oil. if you see no signs of coffee cream color you may be ok . you can alsways dump the oil again and refill. openning up these gear cases...

    from a qd16 parts diag bummer :-( but now you can take the chance to replace any seals .. prop drive & shift while the GC is open change the spaghetti .... and find that retainer clip if somewhere in the GC weird ain't it ... did you pull out the drive shaft while doing pump work ...

    some T&T have a upper limit switch in series with the UP button circuit to the up relay the switch cuts power to the UP relay only when the engine is raised to high leaving only the DOWN switch to work till raisedagain to the uppeer limit ..picture not clear ... if it works don't...

    if carb floats are ok then the bulb should firm up. tried another fuel hose & primer ? external fuel leaks should be evident. any chance of a fuel pump diaphragm leak ?

    you can always install a small lawn mower filter on the incoming fule line before the "empty" bowl to keep crud away from the carb
