    that key way notch on the impeller seems so wide and deep ...it must be just me I guess . in despair if nothing else works and you do have several impellers...cut a nocth (part way of course) opposite the existing notch. Cut the slot the size of the drive key diameter no wider ...

    the key is slipping or the impeller is sliping on the key either way the impeller is not turning or water is not treaching the impeller housing ??? if you submerge the gc with no impeller housing ... just the base plate does water come up the banana shaped openning of the base...
