    Yamaha ships motors all over the world. Under the Yamaha brand, under the Mariner brand, under the Marathon and under the Mercury brand. Perhaps under some other brands. The information about a 662 model that I provided above is from Mercury Marine.

    Where in your manual are you seeing an "emergency" position? What page please? The manual for your model is LIT-18626-04-48. The manual says to "open" emergency starter valve. That is, turn it to the "open" position.

    Appears to be a 1975 model year motor. Distributed outside of the USA. As noted, Yamaha did not selling motors here in the states until 1984. Mercury sold similar models that were made by Yamaha. What parts that remain available might work on your motor.
